Fairline has a 'good bunch of guys' at the factory
One of Fairline's two Northamptonshire factories is closing its doors for the last time today.
The luxury boatbuilder went into administration just before Christmas, with the loss of 388 jobs. It was bought by two Russian investors in January.
As part of its restructuring plans the decision was made to close the Corby plant, but continue boatbuilding in Oundle.
Giles Wheatley, from Irthlingborough, is the 100th employee to be taken on since the business restarted having previously worked for Fairline Boats. He says there are a "good bunch of guys" at the factory.
