The NHS may introduce a new non-invasive test for Down's syndrome that could reduce the number of miscarriages, but "moral and ethical concerns" have been raised.

Earlier this year the National Screening Committee, which advises the NHS and the government, recommended that DNA testing should involve a blood test rather than a needle into the abdomen.

We hear from Emma, who lost her baby to miscarriage following the currently used Down's test and said she would have opted for a non-invasive procedure if it had been available.

Professor Basky Thilaganathan, Director of Foetal Medicine at St George's Hospital Foundation Trust has been looking at safest practice of using the new test.

Actor Sally Phillips, whose 11-year-old son has Down's syndrome questioned whether there should be testing at all.
