The full clutch of four peregrine falcon chicks have successfully hatched on the Norwich Cathedral spire nesting platform.

The last chick emerged from its shell sometime on Saturday morning to join its three siblings that hatched on Friday. Experts say the family is "doing well" with the experienced parents bring in regular feeds.

The peregrine falcons, nesting on a special platform on the cathedral spire 246ft (75m) above the ground, have been breeding in Norwich since 2011 as part of an urban peregrine breeding programme managed by the Hawk and Owl Trust.

If the vulnerable chicks avoid predation, they should fledge from the nesting platform in about five weeks time.
