Hillsborough survivor on what was it like in the crush

Actor Neil Fitzmaurice, who survived the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, says the experience was an 'attack on the senses.'

The tragedy occurred on 15 April 1989, as a result of which 96 football fans lost their lives.

Fitzmaurice was stood on the Leppings Lane end terrace when the tragedy took place.

"It was an attack on every sense that day. People were biting me to tell me they were still alive," he told 5 live Sport's Kelly Cates.

He continued: "The glass in my watch popped, that is how much pressure was on us."
