Swansea City Weekly – Takeover Special

Reaction and opinion to Swansea's possible American takeover is here.

As if this season hasn’t been eventful enough for Swans fans, the Liberty Stadium was rocked on Saturday night by news that American businessmen Jason Levein and Steve Kaplan are in talks to take a “controlling interest” in the club, in a deal worth up to £100 million. On this week’s Swansea City Weekly we have a takeover special lined up, where Rob Phillips, Iwan Roberts and host Simon Davies are in conversation and are joined by a whole host of guests, including the chairman and vice-chairman of the Swansea City Supporters Trust, as well as getting the opinion of Swansea City fans to the news. Swans legend Leighton James and Nathan Blake add their thoughts, while former Liverpool assistant manager Colin Pascoe tells us what life is like under American owners.

We also get the reaction from Swansea’s momentous 1-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday. With the all-important 40 point mark reached, we hear from a delighted Francesco Guidolin, and with safety all but secured, how high are Swansea aiming during the closing stages of the season?
