There's a man near Watford who lives in mud house in the woods, which he's built himself. It's not a bad looking mud house, either. He even has electricity from a dynamo connected to an old bikeBut there's one problem - Daniel Pike had no right to build it. The trust which owns the woods says he must leave. Now, we realise you can't just build where you fancy - but looking at his other local options, homes built traditionally (by builders) aren't very affordable.
