Digger 'bomb' drama in Shipdham
The village of Shipdham, near East Dereham, hit the headlines on Tuesday morning after a couple uncovered a "bomb like" device while working in the garden.
Matt Oram was using a digger to clear tree roots from the grounds when his wife Paula noticed something suspicious. Emergency services were called, roads were closed and neighbours evacuated "as a precaution", police said.
An army bomb disposal team established the mystery object as the head of an inactive RAF practise bomb from World War Two.
