When the National Environment Research Council decided to allow the public to choose the name for its new 拢200 million state-of-the-art polar research vessel they didn't expect people to choose the name Boaty McBoatface. But in four days more than 18,000 votes were cast for that choice and the website crashed. Former 91热爆 Jersey presenter James Hand has since apologised profusely for coming up with the name. Will the ship's name undermine Britain's credibility on the world stage?
