Israel’s 24-hour Metropolis
Tel Aviv is the city that never sleeps – especially after midnight
Forget New York – Tel Aviv is the new city that never sleeps. Only at the stroke of midnight does this Israel party town really start to come alive. But it isn’t only night clubs that open their doors at this time – young Tel Avivians are just as likely to visit a hair dressers or go for bagel as they are to go dancing. We visit this incredible place to get a taste of 24-hour living – and 2am traffic jams.
Also on the show, we meet the exceptionally clever Mathew Trout, the 15-year-old who is just about to finish a university degree in mathematics; and discover the delights of that country and western past time, line dancing, with two young fans, Steven Brain and Michelle Weller.
