Classic R&B sounds from the 1950's - this was the decade when the blues found a new audience in white teenage America and beyond. At the beginning of the 50's rhythm and blues was dismissed as 'race music' by the mainstream. But within a few years the leading lights of blues had become major stars, were selling millions of records and influencing a whole new generation of musicians who would go on to transform popular music in the 60's and beyond.
