Rwanda welcomes Facebook's free internet scheme
Billions of the world鈥檚 poorest people have no access to the internet. Facebook's Free Basics scheme offers limited access to the internet for free. But it's proved controversial in India, where this week it was banned over fears about internet freedom. So why is Rwanda encouraging it?
Owen Bennett Jones spoke to Rwanda's Youth and ICT Minister, Jean Philbert Nsengimana, about why Free Basics is working for them.
