Whale remains wash up at Sheringham
The remains of a minke whale have washed up on the beach at Sheringham after being spotted at Weybourne 12 hours earlier.
It was initially thought to be the body of a giant squid due to the level of decomposition.
Norfolk cetacean recorder Carl Chapman says the carcass is a dead minke that washed up at Salthouse some time ago and was moved a couple of miles along the coast to Weybourne by the tide.
Two whales died recently after beaching themselves at Hunstanton.
