Making money in Nollywood
Nigeria's film and television industry, affectionately known as "Nollywood", is booming. Now foreign investors are getting interested in funding locally-made content. Leading producer and broadcaster iROKOtv has attracted $19m from France's Canal Plus and others to fund original movies and shows. But can local producers fend off big international players like Netflix, who have also expressed a desire to expand globally? Jason Njoku, CEO of iROKOtv thinks so.
