Sir Mark Walport: Bitcoin style tech can 'reduce fraud'
Could the technology behind the online currency Bitcoin be the power behind a new way of keeping records accurate and secure?
The government's chief scientific adviser Sir Mark Walport told the Today programme that Bitcoin was 鈥渁 way of reducing fraud, a way of reducing corruption; it鈥檚 a way of potentially distributing benefits to people who haven鈥檛 got a bank account鈥.
