"We knew what we signed up for!" Leonardo Di Caprio on the hardships of filming The Revenant
Leonardo Di Caprio joins Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw to talk about making his newest film, The Revenant. A gruelling tale of 1820s frontier survival, the shoot saw Leo and the others endure constant sub-zero temperatures and other hardships... like eating bison liver. "It wasn't awesome. It didn't taste awesome," he says of his meal.
With awards already under its belt, the film's been further tipped for Oscars, but that was never a forgone conclusion. "Everything about this movie was taking a chance," he says.
