Walking 456 miles back home to Norfolk for Christmas
Staff Sergeant Zak Thorpe of the Royal Artillery talks to Nick Bowler after completing a mammoth charity walk. On December the 7th, he set off on a 456-mile journey walking from his barracks at Larkill in Wiltshire, to the Royal Memorial Arboretum, and then finally home to Brundall for Christmas. It was all to raise money for Walking with the Wounded - and the distance was very deliberately chosen, as it represents a mile for every British soldier killed in the war in Afghanistan. Yesterday, Zak finally made it home to Brundall, where there was an emotional welcome for him.
