Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino says the club are in a "critical period" and that managers who lose matches lose their job.

Cascarino said: " It's gone from 'we can't win the league', 'we can't qualify for Champions League', and now 'we're fighting relegation'."

“Literally each topic has changed in the last month. That as a football club for Chelsea will not be acceptable at the highest level."

Cascarino didn't comment specifically on Jose Mourinho's future, but the Chelsea manager's future is in question after the board discussed the manager in the past 24 hours.
