Brendan Rodgers has lined up 'bigger' jobs than Swansea
Journalist Neil Ashton believes Brendan Rodgers has lined up bigger jobs than the current vacancy at Swansea.
Former Liverpool manager Rodgers, 42, was in charge when the Swans were promoted to the Premier League in 2011 and Ashton believes he would not want to return to Wales, saying: "Why would he feel the need to go back and rescue Swansea? I suspect Brendan will have something slightly bigger lined up in the near future and it won't be Swansea."
Another reason for Rodgers avoiding the Swansea job was revealed by the 91Èȱ¬â€™s senior football reporter Ian Dennis who said: "The back-room staff he used to work with have been disbanded from his time at Liverpool. I'm not convinced he would go back."
