How coding changes lives in Ghana
Nima is one of the largest and poorest districts in the Ghanaian capital Accra. The Achievers Club of Nima was set up in 2011 by a young girl who escaped a forced marriage aged 12, and now provides extra lessons for girls in the area.
Bola Mosuro visited their classroom on the first floor of a local mosque to report on a coding class for girls.
But the tables were turned when 13-year-old Adama took Bola’s mike and proceeded to narrate a tour of the area, and talk about the problems young girls living in Nima face.
