"In Mexico we are not all blonde and skinny"
Singer and MC Audry Funk on challenging body image expectations and pressures in Mexico.
Audry Funk is a singer and MC from the town of Puebla in Mexico and she is part of the feminist hiphop collective Somos Mujeres, Somos Hiphop.
She has been creating independent music for more than 10 years and has toured many countries, including Chile, Bolivia, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and the US.
She uses hiphop to help prevent young people in some of the poorest areas of Puebla from getting involved in drugs and delinquency. She also has a feminist agenda and talks about body Image and stereotyping.
