Pigs to clear undergrowth in Holt park
A herd of pigs have been let free to roam in Holt Country Park as a way of clearing the undergrowth and managing the plant life.
A survey of ground flora taken before and after the Large Black's arrival will be compared to other areas of the park where bracken and bramble has been thinned without pigs.
North Norfolk County Council will post signs warning visitors and dog walkers about their presence.
Park ranger Will Fitch says it would take too long to clear the area by hand. It is hoped the pigs will help allow plants to flourish.
