From poverty to coding entrepreneur
Audrey Jones grew up in a poor, African-American neighbourhood of Memphis, Tennessee. Her mother struggled with drug addiction and died when Audrey was in her teens. Audrey married young, had a child, got divorced, and ended up working in a call centre.
Audrey could have remained stuck in the poverty she grew up around, but she鈥檚 now a successful coder, tech executive and entrepreneur. She鈥檚 also one of the people behind an organisation called Code Crew, which teaches underprivileged kids in Memphis to code.
So how did she go from poverty to success? The story begins when she was unhappy with how her MySpace page looked.
