RAF Marham to get Lightning squadrons
Two front line squadrons of the world's most advanced warplanes, the Lightning II, will be coming to RAF Marham in Norfolk with a back-up training squadron.
The airbase will be home to the first squadron of the jets from 2018, replacing the ageing GR4 Tornadoes which will be retired by 2019.
The Ministry of Defence says it's highly likely that a second squadron of about 12 Lightning IIs will operate out of Marham by 2023.
