Norwich scientists crack wheat genome
Scientists in Norwich say they've made a breakthrough in understanding the genetics of wheat, which could mean growing wheat for finer flour or bigger yields.
The Genome Analysis Centre at the Norwich Research Park has found the wheat genome, giving its genetic make-up.
It means scientists should be able to engineer wheat seeds more successfully in the future.
