Lucy stopped growing prematurely before she was born and has cerebral palsy, partial deafness and a sight condition that has limited her eyes’ range of motion. The family doctor’s initial diagnosis was that Lucy may never walk or talk. Lucy has defied the original prognosis though, and she can now do both. Lucy’s can-do attitude has enabled her to persevere despite her medical conditions, allowing her an active and full life. She recently left school with five GCSEs and a strong circle of friends.
