Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu called the result a victory for our democracy, but the result has been met with protests in the Kurdish regions of the country. Russia says its passenger plane that crashed in Egypt broke up at high altitude. The East German Communist official whose mistaken announcement triggered the fall of the Berlin Wall has died aged 86.
