New Technology at Leicester Castle
Visitors to one of Leicester's oldest buildings are spending more and more time in there thanks to a 21st Century addition!
Leicester Castle, parts of which date back to the 11th Century, is usually only open to the public for certain days of the year.
But now visitors are able to make the most of those open days because cutting-edge technology has been installed there to showcase the fascinating history behind the building.
Guests can use a smart phone app on their mobiles or tablets, which reveals stories and facts from key locations in the castle, such as the cells and the court room.
The University of Leicester says its studies show visitors are spending 80% more time in the building.
