Mark Wood: Cook called and asked for no Ashes complacency
England bowler Mark Wood has revealed captain Alastair Cook phoned with a motivational call ahead of the final Ashes Test against Australia, warning against complacency with the series won.
England have wrapped up the series with a game to spare going into the final Test at the Oval.
But Wood says Cook doesn't want the team to rest on their laurels.
"He rang me up just to make sure that I was focused on the next test," he said.
"We've got to make sure that we're on the job here and don't let the complacency set in, because if it was the other way round they certainly wouldn't do that."
