'Without winning we can't put principles in practice'

Ben Bradshaw has said he would be happy to serve if Jeremy Corbyn were elected.

The first votes in Labour's leadership contest are due to be cast.

Left-winger Jeremy Corbyn is still regarded as a clear favourite, by his opponents and by bookmakers.

Former culture secretary Ben Bradshaw said he would be happy to serve if Jeremy Corbyn were to win.

But the MP for Exeter said the only way Labour would win the next election would be by broadening its support.

"Without winning, we can鈥檛 put our principles in practice," he said.
