Are nightclubs dying out?
Two of the best-known names in nightclubs tell us why so many are closing down. Figures say there are now around 1,700 venues compared to more than 3,000 ten years ago. The DJ Dave Haslam worked at the famed Hacienda in Manchester and is author of Life After Dark and Peter Stringfellow opened his first club in 1962. We asked them what's gone right and what's gone wrong?
