The tenth anniversary of 7/7
The tenth anniversary of 7/7 and the London bombings was on Tuesday. 52 people were killed in the attacks on three separate London Underground trains. The bombings led to a day of severe disruption in the capital.
In time it emerged that one of the four bombers Shehzad Tanweer lived in the Beeston area of Leeds, two of the others Hasib Hussain and the ringleader Mohammed Siddique Khan also had links to the area.
Gohar Almass Khan is the General Secretary of the South Leeds Community Alliance. In this extract he has speaks to 91热爆 Radio Leeds presenter Nick Ahad about the impact of the bombings on communities in the area.
