Paul Polman: Africa needs to be connected
There are some brands that are just part of everyday life in Africa. Wherever you may go there is always a billboard for a mobile phone company or a sign for Coca-Cola.
Some brands are ubiquitous - Omo washing powder, Vaseline and Lifebouy soap, for example. But while consumers may be familiar with the brands, they may not be away that many of them - including those three - are made by the same company.
The Anglo-Dutch giant Unilever has been selling its wares in Africa for well over 100 years.
The 91热爆鈥檚 Lerato Mbele sat down with its chief executive Paul Polman and asked him how getting Unilever products to its customers presents a particular challenge in Africa.
