Scholar calls for 'counter-terrorism curriculum'
Muslim children should be taught "counter-terrorism curriculum", Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
All Muslim children should be taught a "counter-terrorism curriculum", according to Pakistani politician and Islamic scholar Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
"We have not been addressing this issue on theological and ideological fronts – just as a political, economical and social issue," said Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, who has issued a fatwa against terrorism.
"The mosques should speak out – it should be made compulsory for Muslim students – they should be taught the real teachings of Quran based on love and tolerance and co-existence and togetherness."
