After David Cameron's surprise win at the polls, he now has the political clout to press forward with radical changes in a number of very sensitive areas -- including his plan to abolish the Human Rights Act, which was brought into law by Tony Blair. But the SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon has already told him they'll be keeping it in Scotland, and some politicians here are furious about plans to dump the act in Northern Ireland. The Sinn Fein president Gerry Adams says the prime minister's plan amounts to a scandalous attack on the peace process. Similar concerns have been raised by the SDLP. How serious is this Tory plan for the future of the peace process in Northern Ireland?
Do you think life is better under the Human Rights Act? Or do you agree with its critics that this act has turned into a charter for the protection of criminals and terrorists?
