Figures from Gloucestershire Police show the force paid out nearly six million pounds in overtime payments in the last 2 years.

The force says some officers being highly trained in specific areas of policing can result in high individual payments, and that the force often police big events with additional staff, without pulling officers away from other key areas of the county.
