The death toll from the rail crash – including the mysterious ‘Lost Children of Maryhill’
Of the 226 dead, many were so badly charred they were very difficult to identify. Among these were the remains of what were thought to be three or four children. These bodies were never claimed but were buried in a grave in Glasgow’s Western Necropolis, at Maryhill
