Stories from the Holocaust and UK Elections

What can we lear from untold stories of Holocaust survivors? And, what should the World Service focus on following the outcome of the UK election?

In 1946, the 91Èȱ¬ broadcast a series of radio appeals to help reunite child survivors of the holocaust with any family they may have left. Seventy years on from that original broadcast, journalist Alex Last set out to find what happened to the named children. His search resulted in a collection of untold stories of how these young victims rebuilt their lives. For listeners across the world, it was powerful and moving listening which sparked off more questions about how the survivors were traced. Alex explains how he gained the trust of his interviewees and how organic radio appeals fit into our modern world.

And, following an unpredictable result in the UK’s General Election, listeners give their reaction to the overnight coverage on the 91Èȱ¬ World Service. But – now that the vote has been cast – what issues do you want to hear being covered?
