The characteristics of Krump are clearly seen in the arm swings - they are aggressive yet under control. The direction doesn't matter, as long as they are quick and punctuated and not flailing all over the place.

The hands form punches, they could form blades, or be holding apples, anything as long as it fits your spirit and the music.
