American CEO takes a pay cut to give staff a rise

A Seattle CEO has cut cut his own salary of just under $1 million dollars to $70,000 to give his staff a pay rise. Dan Price came up with the idea after reading a study that claimed happiness increased with pay. He broke the news to staff at the credit card payments processing firm at the start of the week. HR staff member Stephanie Brooks tells Drive about the moment he made the announcement.
