Firefighters from Leicestershire have flown to Nepal to help in the relief effort following Saturday's devastating earthquake. They are joining UK ISAR - which is part of the UK National Resilience Capability - who respond to disasters at home and overseas. People living in Loughborough say proposed railway bridge closures will cause chaos for commuters.The main route into the town from Nottingham and the north of the county will have to close for several months to allow for the electrification of the Midland Mainline. Wymeswold Cricket is being rebuilt thanks to a fifty thousand pound lottery grant from Sport England and other funding.
