Meningitis vaccine is 'little legacy' to our daughter
The father of a toddler who died from meningitis B says the roll out of a vaccination programme for babies is a 'little legacy she's leaving behind'. The Government says a deal has finally been reached with the manufacturers to provide the vaccination for all babies over 2 months old. It will be rolled out later this year, well over a year after it was first approved. It is too late to save Matt Hill's 23 month old daughter Georgie, who died in February 2015. He told Dotun Adebayo that they are angry that it wasn't available to save their daughter, but he says they will "take comfort in knowing there will be a lot more young children out there who now stand more of a chance of not contracting this vicious disease".
