Why: "He has been for more than half a century a pioneer and a trailblazer who has inspired and influenced generations of performers and songwriters. And he has been a prolific songwriter, whose songs have been hits for artists as diverse as the Byrds, Jimi Hendrix and Adele.鈥�

Thank you David for this nomination. He was indeed on of the great pioneers within the music industry and helped so many artists throughout music.
