Wenger: I'm much happier seeing Sir Alex Ferguson now
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said he now has a good relationship with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
In an exclusive interview for 5 live Sport, the Frenchman said "I'm happy to see him now, much more than before."
"We have gone through some different spells in our relationship. In the end it became more peaceful and respectful."
"Today we are happy to have a good dinner together and a good glass of wine and talk about football and rise above the differences we had before."
Arsenal will meet Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter finals, not an unfamiliar situation for either side, but the 65-year-old said playing United was a real challenge when Sir Alex was in charge:
"Psychologically to win or to lose for your team was important for the rest of the season.鈥
鈥淥nce you beat Man United, you knew your team was good enough to go from there, to the end, to win the championship.鈥
