Career woman who left London to live in the Arctic
From one extreme to another: high-flying career woman Gaynor Leeper gave up her job in London to become a dog musher in the depths of the Arctic.
Gaynor explained that she "has always been one of those people who prefers a winter climate" and fell in love with the "magical" landscape from the moment she saw it.
She and her husband's nearest shopping centre is 400 kilometres away, which is a nine hour return journey. Gaynor adds, "there's not much else around, but it's perfect for dog sledding".
