'The time was right' AP McCoy on deciding to retire
AP McCoy, the 19-times champion jump jockey, has announced he will retire by the end of the season.
The 40-year-old revealed the news after claiming his 200th winner of the season on Mr Mole at Newbury on Saturday afternoon.
He has to date a career tally of 4,322 winners, including the Grand National in 2010 on Don't Push It, commentary of which you can hear in this clip.
He has been champion jockey every season since 1996 - his first year as a professional.
