Rugby doctor: Concussion assessment is 'tokenism'
If George North had been a boxer, "the fight would have been finished" says former medical advisor to the International Rugby Board, Barry O'Driscoll.
The Welsh winger took a couple of hits to the head during the opening Six Nations match against England. He was allowed to play on for some time but now suspected concussion may force him to sit out Wales' next game.
Doctor O'Driscoll said Rugby's five-minute concussion test is "tokenism" and condemns it as an "assessment which no other sport in the world uses."
