Martin Samuel: Redknapp was 'talked out' of leaving QPR due to knee problems

The ghost writer of Harry Redknapp's autobiography, journalist Martin Samuel, says Redknapp's son Jamie talked his father out of leaving QPR when he considered leaving 'months ago' due to an ongoing knee problem.

Redknapp resigned as QPR boss, saying imminent knee replacement surgery was the reason behind his decision.

Samuel says the 'tipping point' for the 67-year-old had come when he had been unable to carry on watching his grandson play football because of his knee issues.
