The Bishop of Norwich on his Holy Land visit
Anthony Isaacs talks to Bishop Graham James about his recent trip to the Holy Land and his thoughts on the Prince of Wales' comments around radicalisation of young people
In the first hour of the programme, Anthony plays some great hymns and worship songs including the choir of King's College, Norwich Cathedral Choir and Bristol Salvation Army. The Hymn of the Week is Cecil Frances Alexander's 'All Things Bright And Beautiful' which was first published in 1848. He also reflects on the week's news around three parent babies and a row over a leaflet from the Christian Soldiers of UKIP.
From seven, Anthony hears more on the vandal attack on Ihsan mosque, hears from Mark Gardner from CST about the record number of anti-semitic attacks in the UK and speaks to the Reverend Helen Rengert Assistant Curate at St Matthew's in Thorpe St Andrew, and the Young Vocations Champion for the Diocese of Norwich and the Reverend William Warren, Curate at Holy Trinity Church in Norwich about the issues surrounding the need for the Church of England to recruit new members of clergy.
From eight, Anthony finds out more about anti-semitic attacks from John Piercy who runs the Shalom Habbakuk Trust. He also speaks to the Bishop of Norwich, the Right Reverend Graham James, about the Prince of Wales' comments around radicalisation and the Bishop's recent visit to the Holy Land and interviews artist Chris Gollon whose new exhibition 'Incarnation, Mary and Women from the Bible' comes to Norwich Cathedral later this month.
