Author: Publishers sent me 'canned peach slices'
Emma Healey's award winning debut novel 'Elizabeth is Missing' is already being turned into a television series.
Emma told 5 live Afternoon Edition how the book, which has been described as a 'dementia detective story', ended up at the centre of a nine-way publisher bidding war.
She said some publishers sent her "canned peach slices" as part of the bidding process because she mentions the fruit in the book.
