Philip Pullman on Disney film 'Into the Woods'
The premiere of Disney's latest film 'Into the Woods', an adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's award winning musical, is taking place on Wednesday. The musical is a quirky montage of a selection of Grimm Brothers' fairy tales
Philip Pullman, author of 'Grimm Tales: For Young and Old', told Today the show was a "marvellous piece of work" but that he "had no idea" of what would happen in the adaptation.
Asked whether it mattered that the film would be produced for a family-friendly audience, he said it did not matter as "there have been countless retellings of these stories, which have been around for hundreds, possibly thousands, of years."
